This version adds cc/bcc recipients.

I think you wrote it correctly, here's what I tested:

              set r to make new cc recipient at end
              tell r
                      set address to "[email protected]"
                      set name to "Dude"
              end tell

              set r to make new bcc recipient at end
              tell r
                      set address to "[email protected]"
                      set name to "Dude"
              end tell
