Hi Jesse,I would prefer to check https first, too. But there is currently a
known Gmail Offline bug:

*- If you've set your account to **always use
https*<http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=74765>
*, you might have trouble signing in with a second account after enabling
offline and signing out of the first account.*
