Hi,

I'll be glad to answer all your questions below in the event my
answers may be of some help. However, I believe the problem may have
been with one of the custom stylesheets I downloaded from here (Mac
MailPlane CSS). In trying out different things, I disabled the use of
custom stylesheets, and that appears to heve resolved the problem. I
re-enabled custom stylesheets trying out other custom stylesheets
from this group, and the problem did not return.

I just reinstalled Google Gears (just in case) and it tells me it is
version 0.5.15.0. The "Still Working" problem persists.

Current non-beta: version 3.2.1 (5525.27.1)

In MailPlane you mean? Yes.

As I just recently installed the beta (the problem I reported was
happening with the latest non-beta version as well, which is why I
tried the beta in the first place), I have not had much chance to play
with offline mail. I've been poking around, and can't figure out what
you mean with this question. How would I have offline data for the
account, or how would I synchronize it?

No. In Safari all folders load quickly and it never gets to the stage
where it says "Still working . . ."
