Hi Alan,
Thanks for the feature request. Mailplane 2.1-beta provides drag and drop
for the "Inserting Image" lab feature:

   1. Compose a new message
   2. Click the "Insert Image" icon in the rich text toolbar
   3. Drag and drop a few pictures to you message or take a screenshot (you
   can use the Media Browser, too)
   4. Select image and press the "Insert Image" button.
