When I start a Google Talk conversation from within the main window, it puts it in a mini-window at the lower-left of the main window. I can then expand that mini-window to be it's own regular window. When I close the main window, any conversations which have been popped out to regular windows close as well. I'm talking about the windows from the popped-out messages.
