mailto: URLs are used to compose new messages and Mailplane supports cc,
bcc, subject parameters.
mailplane: URLs are used to open conversations, searches, or labels

In short: If you like to compose messages, use mailto: - if you like to
reference a Gmail page use mailplane: URLs
