Hi all,

@Jullian : I still use Mail to do with the help of an other program called
"MailSteward",
a yearly database of all the messages I received on my three accounts on
Gmail. That
works ! I launch Mail every week to collect all the messages on the three
accounts, to
have a safety messages database. And every month I launch MailSteward to
build the
database.

@ Higgs : Do you have removed only the file Gears.plugin or do you have used
the
"uninstall.command" in "Library/Internet
Plug-Ins/Gears.plugin/Contents/Resources" ?
If you don't have used the "uninstall.command", remaining files can stay on
your hard
drive. If not, reinstall Gears, and uninstall it with the previously
mentioned command.
I think it will solve your problem of "reappearing" gears. To be really
safe, close Safari
and Mailplane (if they are opened) before double-clicking the
"uninstall.command".

Hope that helps !

Michel
