I also have had this problem, but only intermittently. I actually did switch to Firefox for a time, and now I'm back to Mailplane because ... this may be odd ... I really missed the separate rich-text signatures for each account.
I'd like to put in a note of encouragement for Ruben. I can see he's working hard on this program, and I appreciate his efforts.
