I'm having the same problem (or a similar problem, at least) with Mailplane 2.1.5.
Whenever I click on a "mailto" link — anywhere, in Mailplane or in a browser or other application — Mailplane opens a compose window but does not fill in the information from the mailto link, such as the address or the subject.
