Hi Eric, The answers are NO and NO. Mailplane doesn't unify the Gmail accounts. It gives you the ability to switch between them.
However, you can forward your other Gmail accounts messages to a central Gmail account. Check out *Gmail > Settings > Accounts *for the settings.
