Maybe recreating your offline cache can solve the issue:

- ⌘-Click the Gmail Sign-Out link
- Close Mailplane
- go to *HOME/Library/Application Support/Google*
- move *Google Gears for Safari* to the Trash
- Restart Mailplane
- Reenable Gmail Offline and re-download your messages
