The ⌘-L panel should work in for multiple conversations, of course. I tried
to reproduce the issue, but it worked on my side.
⌘-L was created before Google released the new labeling UI. I personally
prefer the look and feel of Mailplane's own labeling command, this is why
it's still around :)
