To compare numbers, please try this: - Restart Mailplane - Wait until the overview is fully loaded - Hide the Mailplane - In Activity Monitor wait until the %CPU has "settled down".
In my case Mailplane uses 0.5-2%. How much does Mailplane use in this mode? CPU levels are higher when your window is in "compose" mode. Do you have any plugins enabled?
