I've hunted for features on gmail and mailplane for dealing with a couple of issues with inline photo attachments. For me, these rank up there as the most annoying limitations of gmail + mailplane. That said, if there a solution, I'm glad to retract that!
1. Large inline photos blow up and slow down message display. Sometimes i receive photos that are too big to display in my mailplane display. Rather than shrink them down to a manageable size, they are displayed in all their original glory, which results in stretching the viewer out of the window -- pushing controls like "reply" far off of the window to the right. I need to horizontally scroll to get to them, and typing a reply is painful as the the message box is now very wide. In addition, I can't really see these images, since they are very large, and they take a long time to load in the browser. This may be a gmail issue, since gmail should take care of this before generating the message for display. It would be great to have an inline image setting for max dimensions and/or size (bytes). 2. Downloading multiple inline images in a single message is a pain. Combined with problem #1, the act of right-clicking on each image and downloading is tedious and error-prone. I'd love to be able to have inline attachments listed as attachments, and be able to download them all or separately the same as for regular non-inline attachments. Again -- any pointers to features I've missed, mailplane plugins, or labs options would be most welcome.
