I've noticed a change in this behaviour over the last little while. I open a longish conversation, read thru to the end, probably delete the thread, then return to the overview. But instead of being positioned up around where the conversation was in the list (assuming I've deleted it), the display is positioned down a page or two, and I have to manually move back up.
