I was also having this issue recently and found that it had to do with
enabling Google's multiple sign-in feature. Using system webkit didn't
fix it, but deleting the .cookies files worked! This should definitely
go on the known issues list.

Thank goodness for this post, otherwise I wouldn't have found a way to
