Same here, also Lion & 2.5.1 #1636. Three accounts, 2 in GApps, 1 GMail. The problem only happens with the GApps accounts -- GMail is fine.
In addition, changes to my inbox (such as marking an email read, or archiving), seem to work, but don't actually happen. That is, I hit 'archive', the email leaves my inbox, I change to another account, come back to account #1, and the email is still in my inbox.
