Hi Scott,

Many thanks for the detailed feature requests!

Dropbox attachments: Indeed, some space is wasted by sending huge attachments
to another persons inbox. However, I think that this is great solution for
geeks or technical savvy people, but maybe less understandable for
non-technical email users. Picasa, MobileMe Galleries (I know it's going away),
Flickr, even Skich  kind of offer a similar service and I am not sure if it
makes sense to compete in this area.

Tip: Why not integrate your already existing app with Mailplane? Check out this
article:
Use AppleScript to compose the
messages: http://mailplaneapp.com/howto/entry/compose_email_using_applescript/

Delete attachments: Currently, IMAP is the only solution.

UI Modifications: Agreed, it would make sense to optimize the user experience.

Account switching: Mailplane 3.0 will improve it :)

MailMarklets: Good idea. Have you tried the 'Quick Links' Gmail lab feature? It
allows you to store searches/conversations etc. in the sidebar.

Thanks again for your feedback.
