Hi Chip,

I am not sure what you mean. How did you loose your data/passwords?

Did it happen when you loaded a new version?

If yes:
Mailplane doesn't delete anything when you upgrade, it is most likely another
software on your Mac. Do you use any app-cleaner software, which automatically
cleans up after deleting an application? Here's how you can solve the issue:

- In Finder go to HOME/Library/Application Support/Mailplane
- Backup these two files: Accounts.xml and Accounts_2.xml
- OR: Restore the file "Accounts_2.xml" from your Time Machine backup
- Get rid of the application cleaner:
Example App Cleaner apps that are known to cause trouble (there are more, of
course):
http://www.freemacsoft.net/AppCleaner/
http://onnati.net/apptrap/
If the cleaner app asks you about deleting files: Just say "no" next time
Mailplane gets updated.
If it doesn't ask for you permission: Get rid of this cleaner application as it
is rather dangerous.
Hundreds of applications use Sparkle for auto-updates and this cleaner
application may delete important files in the future… Try a non-automatic
cleaner application like AppZapper: http://www.appzapper.com/

Best,
Ruben

I agree with Scott. This is Mailplane bug (maybe with the AppStore
license key), which only seem to happen on a case sensitive drive. I'd love to
solve this issue, of course. I'll setup a case-sensitive HD to reproduce the
issue.
