I was having this same problem for the last few days.  I suspected
that it had something to do with having multiple sign-in enabled.

I tried a couple things to solve it, then stumbled on something that
worked... I had to log out of ALL my gmail accounts in the browser,
then sign into the one I was having trouble with FIRST (rather than
switching accounts).
