Interesting...if I 'Switch to the new look', then it gets even worse--
the 'Apply/Remove Label' is greyed out in the menu, and Cmd-L does
nothing. But then when I 'Revert to the old look temporarily',
everything works correctly again (the menu item is no longer greyed
out, Cmd-L works, and the panel is correctly populated with my
labels). I have downloaded 2.5.4-preview3, and this behavior is the
same both there and in 2.5.3.
