My Mailplane preferences are set to
*[x] Display status time in menu bar*
and
*Notify messages with Growl: ( All signed-in accounts ).*
I don't see options in the Mailplane preferences that allows me to more
granularly configure Growl.
New mail notifications stay on the screen forever – until they are clicked
on – and look unlike all my Growl notifications. Upon clicking on a
notifications, I am taken to that message
New messages don't honor my Growl settings and use an entirely different
display bezel. I have gone into the Growl preferences, selected Mailplane
from the Applications list, set the "*New Mail*" option of "*Stay on Screen*"
to "*Never*" and am now trying "*Application Decides*".
But there are 8 total Growl interactions with MailPlane I should be able to
configure; only the new mail operation is functional. I have not tried
adjusting the sounds in Growl to see if those are triggered by MailPlane
events. Should they be? Do they currently?
With the bezel being *entirely* different from the default shown for all
other apps, perhaps Growl is not in control at all? Is there another
application I should be configuring either within, or outsider of Growl?
As a side note, I have the master preference in Growl set to
[x] Leave notification on screen after [90] seconds of inactivity.
I definitely am active, though I could temporarily try turning this feature
off. I would rather it on, as I desire this behavior when working properly.
** Does Mailplane lack "find and replace" in the message compose area? I
can find, but don't see a replace method. I recall in Apple Mail I could
configure an option to "Edit in TextMate". Has anyone been able to
accomplish the same ( in Mailplane ), where you can shove the current
message into TextMate, and on save, it puts the data back into Mailplane?
This would accomplish adding find and replace, and also afford me to work
in my favorite of typing environments.*
Thank you
