I've tried everything. New look, old look. Basic attachment, advanced
attachment. Flash plugin on, flash plugin off. Same result every time:
When I drag a file into mailplane (or I let my scanner app fire up
mailplane as 'mail' app, same effect), I get the new message window,
but no attachment at all.
If I press 'add attachment', I see *2* choose file dialog boxes, but
neither of them have any file uploading.
If I drag-drop a file into mailplane when I'm composing a message, the
same thing happens. As in, nothing at all appears to happen, and if I
press 'Attach a file', I get the mix of a button with 'Choose File' in
it, plus 'no file selected', plus a 'Remove' link, but I get that
_twice_.
If these 2 are already open and I drag-and-drop a file, then it DOES
work, in that the file appears, but that only works in basic, and
basic is pretty bad. I like the progress bar and I especially like the
abiliy to download the attachment so I can doublecheck it's the right
one.
Even in advanced attach mode (setting in gmail's own settings, not a
mailplane setting), I get the same general effect: filename is set,
but NO progress bar and at no point will it turn into a preview link.
However, hitting send in this case will just cause gmail to get stuck
("Still working...").
Broke for me this afternoon - no idea when I last successfully used
the attach feature.
I'm on 2.5.4 (#1668).
