Hello fellow MP users. I have: iPhone 4s MailPlane current on Lion current ( Current meaning up to date fully as of 4/8/2012 ) IMAP across all devices Not using 2 factor but desire to.
I have this domain, newgeo.com using Google apps for Domains. I'm using SSL/ TLS on all connections. Can someone walk me through the general process of how 2 factor works from two or three possible use cases. Perhaps the following: iOS Mobile Mail on iPhone 4, MP not really involved in this use case. MP on Lion is in an Administrative account logging into newgeo.com over IMAP for more than one username. Plus logging into two other domains also part of Google apps for Domains, only one username for each of those two domains. Can someone walk me through the process. You check mail in MP and it stalls waiting on an AUTH code? You then are texted a code? Or you open an app and are given a code? Can I see some sample codes? Are they always the same string length? Is copy and paste facilitated in a simple way/method. Is there a sample corpus of codes so I can see what type of inconvenience I am trading for the added security ? What if you are without your phone? Lost or stolen phone? Any general FAQ items I should know of?
