On a recent Mac Power Users podcast, Merlin Mann talked about how he
created a Chrome bookmark that pointed to a "null" label in Gmail, and he
titled the bookmark "mail". No messages are ever marked with the null
label. That way, he can type "mail" and be brought to gmail without it
opening to his inbox.

I would love it if mailplane hade the same functionality. When I just need
to send a message, I hate to open mailplane and see messages waiting on my
attention.
