I've been experiencing these same problems "Your Action was
Unsuccessful. Please try again." ever since I've updated to the latest
2.5.7 preview (2.5.7-preview 3, build #1687, running on a Core Duo
MacBook with 10.6.8). Resetting my Gmail session did not solve the
problem.

I've downgraded to the latest stable build for now but can try again
for debugging purposes if necessary.
