I had the same problem of Mailplane 2.5.9 not remembering passwords stored in keychain, in ML 10.8.2 Y solved this selecting the entry MailPlane in keychain and sellecting "control access" and enable "allow all aplications to access this entry" It looks like by default keychain in not allowing Mailplane to correctly access the keychain.
