Here's a slightly more interesting/aggressive version that forces you to use the Mailplane toolbar buttons, by removing the equivalents in Gmail! Now only the surplus buttons that Mailplane can't do, remain. It affects the toolbar above messages, and the compose/send window.
Ruben/Jessica, I really feel at its core this is the sort of code Mailplane should have as standard. It seems counter-intuitive to me to sell an app that turns a webpage into a program with toolbar buttons, then keep the webpage buttons visible too. Why give people the option to click 2 different places to do 1 thing? It usually adds a moment of hesitation before deciding whether "today I'm going to click the Gmail trash icon", then, "now I'm going to use the toolbar one". A few characters of CSS and Mailplane could create a MUCH cleaner world!
