I've been having lots of problem lately when editing replies - especially those to which I'm adding inline images.
While editing, the composer gets wonky a lot and you can no longer move up and down and edit. Sometimes if I pop out the reply that helps. But sometimes I can't even do that because the UI is unresponsive and I have to quit and restart Mailplane. Most of the time the draft has been saved and I can just continue. But a couple of times it was not completely saved, just partially saved. Anyway, the composer for replies seems unreliable. I'm hoping you can do more testing with that. Perhaps by trying some mails with some inline images in-between the text and watching what happens. Also, isn't there any way of having the "convert to png" button pre-selected by default? Sometimes it is, and sometimes it isn't. There doesn't seem to be any pattern to it. If it isn't checked then some huge TIFF file gets pasted - even if you are just dragging in a PNG file!
