Good question! It won't work within Mailplane because it's a Chrome based app and Mailplane is Safari/Webkit based. I spoke to Lars and he said he can't make any comments yet if/when we'll be able to provide a Inbox based app. So, if you want to make use of that, Chrome is the way to go!
