When I "Reset Mailplane", its memory usage drops to double digits MB. As soon as I open a Gmail account, that climbs toward the middle triple digits. Opening another account adds a couple/few hundred more. And so on.
I created a keyboard shortcut for the Reset Mailplane command, to do it quickly and more habitually, when working on a memory constrained Mac.
