Actually, if you have your main gmail account setup to “Send Mail As. . ."
email from your other accounts, you CAN change the email address you’re
sending from. Just add your other accounts in your main gmail account under
Settings > Accounts and Import.

Then, when you write an email, click the address bar, it will expand and
you can the email you're sending from.
