I've used Mailplane for a very long time and I wouldn't think of changing. That said, there is a behavior that baffles me and I can't find it documented anywhere. Often I'll look at my Mailbox "M" icon and it's greyed out. I have an internet monitor and I check that and find that nothing is wrong with my internet connection. If I leave it alone, it turns back to either black or red, depending on the status on its own.
Along these same lines, the icon will occasionally have an exclamation point in the middle of it, which I presume means Mailplane has lost its connection to my account.
