Hardware
At a minimum, 3ds Max 2008 32-bit software requires a system with:

* Hardware-accelerated OpenGL and Direct3D supported

Note: Apple® computers based on Intel processors and running Microsoft
operating systems are not currently supported.

Jadi sangat relatif untuk bisa berjalan lancar seperti apa. Tapi
setidaknya bisa diketahui spek terendah yg bisa untuk menjalankan
sofware. masalah lancar apa enaggak tergantung berapa gede file yg mau
dikerjakan dengan spek yg dipunyai. Kalo dari situ jelas gak ada
parameternya.
Cuma dikantor saya ada spek c2d e6300 ram 2 giga, gf 7950gt dan
monitor 19" (res 1280x1024) masih cukup cepat (subyektif) render file
3dmax gak terlalu rumit atau cukup buat presentasi saja 1024 x 768
pixel, biasanya desain both buat pameran. Masih dalam itungan menit lah.
