We are looking for a Programmer and a DBA. Both Consultants shall conduct
support tasks and related assignments within the time limits set forth, and
as directed by the Information Technology Department of the *City of
Phoenix, AZ.*
*A. **PRODUCTION SYSTEM / CONVERSION SUPPORT CONSULTANT(S)*

1. Provide Daily WCIS Production System Support.

2. Provide after hours support for a Production System as assigned.

3. Provide COBOL, IDMS, DB2 programming as required by the technical
lead or
Project Manager.
4. Assist in a Conversion Project as directed by Technical lead or
Project Manager. Duties may include analysis, data conversion,
documentation, programming, testing or other tasks associated with the
project.
5. Provide support of a current User Acceptance Testing environment
(UAT).
This support will involve the running of Mainframe batch jobs and
interfacing with various users during testing.
6. Provide support of user requests for assistance or ADHOC
reporting as required.
7. Attend status meetings as scheduled by the technical lead,
Project Manager or project team.
8. Assist in documentation as needed.
9. Adhere to administrative policies and practices as defined below:
a. Submit weekly status reports by noon each Friday, identifying
work items completed, or in process, to the Technical Lead, or his/her
designee.
b. Submit weekly time sheets to the Project Manager, or his/her
designee, identifying:
§ Contract Number
§ Name of consultant
§ Date and specific hours worked
§ Work performed
c. While on site, work only on City business directly related to
this agreement. Working on any business not directly related to the
assigned project, while on site, is grounds for immediate removal from the
project.
d. Maintain a work schedule mutually agreed upon by both the City
and Consultant. There will be a minimum of twenty (20) hours but no more
than forty (40) hours per week.
e. Obtain prior approval to deviate from the established work
schedule from the Technical Lead, or his/her designee.
f. Notify the Technical Lead, or his/her designee, and, when
possible, all team members, when unplanned leave (i.e., sick leave,
tardiness, etc.) occurs.

experience in a production support environment is preferred. Experience
with a utility application and or data conversion is a plus.
