Avaya Engineer
Short Description:
Enterprise Contact Center Solution with mixed technologies including Avaya,
Aspect, Nuance, Witness and other world class companies.
Complete Description:
The Telecommunications System Engineer will be responsible for the operation
and support of the hardware and software for the primary, backup, and
development of the new enterprise contact center solution. They will provide
direct support for the VoIP-based call processing system, IVR and speech
recognition systems, CTI devices, intelligent call routing systems,
compliance and quality recording system, workforce management system, call
management system, and all other devices related to the enterprise platform.
Some tasks include:
-Serve as a single point of contact for all telecom related issues and
questions
-Coordinate system software installation, maintenance and upgrades
(including firmware) on all platforms
-Coordinate all speech development, installation, testing and rollout
activities
-Serve as primary interface to LEC/CLEC for circuits, routing, etc.
-Coordinate activities and accompany vendors while onsite during
installation phase
-Coordinate equipment installation with other internal groups
-Maintain detailed documentation to include the architectural layout,
inter-machine process flow, numbering plans, vectoring, database schemas,
and other material related to the telecommunications infrastructure
-Ability to facilitate training and develop support and training
documentation
-Ability to interact with regional, divisional, and corporate contacts.
-Maintain call flows, VDN, vectors, trunk groups, agent skills, logins, and
other items
-Maintain enterprise numbering scheme
-Monitor system activity and capacity to ensure continued performance for
all systems
-Monitor licenses for stations, agents, supervisors, etc.
-Read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, journals,
technical procedures.
