Job: Application Systems Engineer Anticipated end date: 10/27/2009 Location: Frederick, MD
Must be technically expert on UNIX, vi and Korn Shell Programming(on scale of 1-5 must be minimum 4) Must be technically skilled on C (on scale of 1-5; at least 3) Must have exposure to Sybase or RDBMS database. Must have hands-on experience with job scheduling, monitoring etc (on scale of 1-5; at least 2 ). Exposure to Autosys will be an advantage. Must be well conversant with the Change management process; hands on experience with any code configuration tool like VSS, ClearCase. Exposure to Remedy will be an advantage Must have relevant experience working in a production support environment & related processes . Must have good experience on environment management; capacity planning Must have excellent debugging/problem solving skills Must be well versant with testing processes Must be willing to work in a 24x7 support mode; on-call basis as well. All calls are expected to be during the work hours however flexibility is required.
