The System Administrator is responsible in assisting the development,
enhancement, implementation and administration of the existing N-Tier
infrastructure and use of set products.
Assist in the installation and configuration of new and existing hardware
and software into the agency Windows 2000 and 2003 multi-forest Active
Directory environment.
Configure server security (lock down)
Assist in establishing a backup / restore environment for servers,
directories and files.
Assist in documenting the hardware and software environments.
Support and maintain the hardware and software.
N-Tier Environment and AD Migration
Assist in migrating the agency multi-forest Active Directory environment
into the N-Tier Enterprise environment.
Assist in migrating Windows 2000 servers to Windows 2003.
Assist in migrating the agency Portal and applications into the N-Tier
Enterprise environment.
Assist in applying access controls and other security safeguards into the
N-Tier Enterprise environment.
Configure and install Application URLs, and test application access.
Assist in reviewing, planning and implementing the Backup & Disaster
Recovery Environment for the N-Tier Enterprise environment.
Multi-Forest Active Directory
Review, and assist in planning and implementing the new Windows 2003 Active
Directory environment; and apply access controls, other security safeguards
and implement management tools.
Assist in creating and maintaining user and group accounts.
Assist in documenting the Active Directory environment.
Assist in reviewing, planning and implementing the Backup & Disaster
Recovery Environment
Support and maintain the Active Directory environment.
Security Framework
Recommend ways of enhancing the N-Tier Enterprise Environment.
Support Operations
Liaison support to Networking, Application Development; Enterprise Business
and Collaboration & Communications Units, and other agencies accessing the
web-based and Active Directory services
Tier III support
Monitor system environment health
Audit environment for compliance
