*Our client is looking for a Sr. Project Manager for a 12 month contract in Lansing, MI. The Sr. Project Manager is responsible to oversee the PMO for a large complex IT project. The Sr. Project Manager is responsible for the delivery of the project, implementation of software releases, data conversion, training, and integration of business process changes to the system. The individual will also ensure the delivery of Project Controls including Vendor Management, Scope Management, Schedule Management, Resource Management, Issue Management, Communication Management, Risk Management, Performance Monitoring, Time Tracking, and Work Approval. This position also manages the enterprise view and the inter dependencies between projects to achieve business objectives and focuses on interaction at multiple levels with multiple partners (stakeholders). The individual is often consulted to resolve escalated issues, create plans to mitigate risk, and remove roadblocks. The Project Manager, Sr. has oversight responsibility for the PCO, PMO and the development and implementation vendor team, which together are responsible for meeting the technology and business objectives of the project. The candidate must have a minimum of seven (7) years of recent project management experience and have demonstrated expert knowledge skills and abilities in project management. In addition, the individual must have two (2) years of professional experience directing information technology developers. This position requires possession of a bachelor*s degree. The applicant must show experience in managing large highly complex IT projects; scheduling and cost control; software quality for project managers; software risk management; project leadership, management and communications. Ideally, has PMI Certification. The applicant must show experience in managing large highly complex information technology projects; scheduling and cost control; software quality for project managers; software risk management; project leadership, management and communications and 5 years of recent IT experience leading large highly complex IT projects. Ideally, has PMI Certification.
