Location: Tachoma, WA Duration: 6 months The VM /Lab Support Engineer is responsible for the day to day operation of the client's VMware and POC (Proof of Concept) test lab environments. This role supports ~300 virtual and physical servers and workstations and requires daily interaction with both internal and client resources to provide services outlined in the service Statement of Work. Scope: - Create and deploy VMware servers into production and lab environments. - Monitor capacity, performance, and utilization across all ESX sites and physical lab environment. - Troubleshoot problems with the VM and lab environments, including hardware, software, and network. - Manage new and existing lab and production service/change requests. Create and manage any change plans and coordination for Production VMware changes and/or implementation - Help handle liaison activity between lab end users regarding lab resource creation, provisioning, implementation, and support. - Manage and maintain lab physical resources and including: network switches, workstations, servers, cable-management, and WAN simulation. - Virtual server management and reporting - Update and maintain all support and design related documentation - Manage and support Remedy ticket issues. - Implement all necessary lab management processes and procedures, including, but not limited to, - OSI provisioning, patching, service request and response, service level reporting, Active Directory, network configuration changes, physical and logical access - Provide support and implement all ESX related activities for Production VmWare -- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Thanks & Regards… Mahesh Atreyapurapu.
