- *Public Health Background Experience *
- Data Management/programming *experience in the PC and mainframe
environment *along with working knowledge of
- Visual Basic
- MS-Access
- SQL
- SAS
- Windows XP
- IBM Mainframe (MVS/TSO)
- Web development skills and SQL Server skills also desired.
- Hardware experience is preferred.
- BS, plus 5 to 7 years of experience.
- Experience working with Surveillance/Epidemiology Projects desired
*DUTIES:*
- Prepare, design, and manage MS Access databases, SQL Sever databases,
MS Excel, and SAS datasets on the PC and mainframe level.
- Provide telephone/email support to existing applications nationwide
- Manage microcomputer files through Windows XP.
- Design, develop, and maintain tracking, data management, and data
collection systems in MS Access and other packages.
- Develop web-based systems for data collection.
- Develop data entry instruments for input of collected data.
- Transfer raw files and SAS files between mainframe and microcomputer
platforms.
- Create SAS analytic files for mainframe and microcomputer use from raw
input files.
- Perform data set linkages as required at both the mainframe and PC
level.
