Designer/Design Engineer Location: US-MI-Kalamazoo
Base Pay: *General Qualifications: * Proficient in Microstation (preferred) or AutoCAD required. Intermediate user of Excel and Word. Field experience required. Strong communication skills. Expediting or vendor interaction experience, knowledge of PLCs and control system design required. Programming experience a plus. Food/Beverage or Pharmaceutical experience a plus. *Additional Comments: * #1 Strength - follow-up to conclusion (details, field work, etc.) Career Development Path - Designer, Sr. Designer, PM Culture/Attitude - Working as part of this team requires a high level of personal ownership. Individual responsibility is key. Expectations - clear, concise communications; attention to detail and quality; personal ownership of job and workload Oversight - will work for PM/Discipline Lead but expect large amount of independence. * Primary Job Responsibilities: * Design panel layouts and basic plant control systems for food/beverage process and packaging systems, and utilities. Perform field work and drawing validations. Will create new design work under direction of PM and/or discipline lead, but will have independent tasks of design and field work to perform. May estimate own work.
