We are looking for someone with ArcObjects, ArcGIS Server, and
enterprise/multi tier .NET development. Please submit only candidates who
meet all required skills.
CLIENT is seeking a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Web Developer for
the duration of our Roadway Network System project. You will be part of the
team that will convert a mission critical Natural/ADABAS mainframe system to
an updated enterprise system using Microsoft .NET, Oracle, and ESRI
platforms. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for
Web-enabled GIS application development using ESRI tools and related Web
development technology.
Develop spatial tools to locate an area of interest based on statewide roads
and other GIS layers, view, query, and edit data from both tabular (Oracle)
and spatial (ArcSDE) databases.
*Requirements *
• Experience with .NET development - ASP.NET, C#, VB.NET, ArcObjects
• Experience building web applications using the combination of the
following technologies: web services, XML, HTML, ASP, VBScript,
JavaScript, and SOAP.
• Experience designing and developing GIS applications and spatial databases
for the Web environment.
• Experience working with ArcSDE (8.x and 9)
• Knowledge of Oracle (9i)
• Familiarity with Java and Macromedia Flash and Web server administration.
• Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills, graphics
and design skills, and business and requirements analysis skills.
• Ability to analyze problems and develop creative solutions with minimal
guidance.
• Graphics design: GUI usability, layout and design, scalable vector
graphics
• Experience with ArcGIS Server 9 is a plus.
Preferred Education: 4 year college degree or equivalent technical study.
