Environment Architect Position 6 months
Start Date: Immediate Positions IL, Requested: 4 Responsibilities: The candidate will be responsible for working with Application Architects and administering multiple application environment surveys in preparation for migrating applications to Allstate's new two-data center model. The candidate will be responsible for interpreting results of the surveys and translating application environment specifications into requirements. The candidate will be responsible for presenting and explaining rationale for all requirements during the migration team's Migration Project Request Review (MPRR) meetings. Qualifications: The candidate must have operational knowledge of one or more of the following application environments: • Application languages: o Microsoft .NET o J2EE • Operating Systems o Windows 2003, 2008 Server o Sun Solaris • Storage o SAN/NAS – Hitachi, 3PAR • Database o Oracle o Microsoft SQL Server • Middleware o Tibco o Websphere • Webserver o Microsoft IIS • Browser o Microsoft IE The candidate should have cursory knowledge of… • TCP/IP Networking, DMZ architectures, Application Protocols.
