Charlotte NC, Years Experience 3-5 years Description The ideal candidate will manage, configure and support software and patch distribution projects. The role requires the right combination of technical and interpersonal skills to contribute to a growing team, in high demand, to leverage BMC's Configuration Management Suite (formally known as Marimba) and Blade Logic, a set of powerful configuration management tools. As a member of Duke Energy’s Enterprise Configuration Management Team, the IT Specialist will manage, configure, tune, report and create solutions to deliver software and patches to workstations and servers in a documented, consistent, and repeatable format. The ideal candidate must have solid functional knowledge of, and experience with, BMC's Configuration Management suite. A good foundational background in server architecture, server configuration and workstation and server patch management is required. *File Attached * Comments ***** Candidate can sit in Cincinnati or Charlotte • Innovate, create, test and communicate software and patch distribution packages to both Test and Production environments • Create, distribute, verify and support the distribution of software and patches using BMC Configuration Management Tool. • Proactively tune, configure and provide creative solutions to fully leverage BMC's Configuration Management Tool. Investigate and formulate proposals pertaining to complementary tools. • Test and document software and patch distribution test results, provide status to Manager and integrative teams and lead the resolution of package and patch related defects. Resolve assigned Help Desk tickets.
