*Storage Engineer * The subcontractor will be engaged in the role of a Storage Engineer with primary responsibility for all aspects of storage and fabric administration and support. Additional responsibilities related to backup systems, NAS and disaster recovery procedures as it relates to the storage (data protection) environments. The position requires working independently in a team-based environment to meet prescribed goals and objectives. a. Subcontractor will provide personnel with the following qualifications and skills to perform the Services: 1. Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent on the job experience. 2. Good written and verbal communication skills 3. Superior interpersonal communication and customer service skills are needed in order to work successfully with customers in high-stress and or ambiguous situations 4. Strong aptitude for learning new technologies and understanding how to utilize them in a customer-facing environment 5. Ability to follow standard and predefined customer engineering principles, procedures and practices 6. Creative approach to problem solving and thinking. 7. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a storage and fabric environment, preferably in an enterprise systems environment with Microsoft Windows, Linux and IBM AIX. 8. Minimum of 3-5 year(s) of “Hand on” experience with storage fabric technologies, with an emphasis on HP storage (XP, EVA, MSL), Cisco MDS Fabric; IBM storage (ESS,DS, NS NAS series) 9. Working knowledge of other data backup/replication and data protection principles and business interactions and dependencies (RTO, RPO) 10. Systems monitoring and management experience required 11.
