*Job Description:*

Join a shared service unit, providing financial and IT services to global
trading and financial businesses. As a member of the Value Services
Technical Solutions team of professionals you will experience "leading edge"
technologies to help provide support to the fast-passed trading businesses.
This technical position will provide daily application support, new project
implementation, and life cycle management of the middleware and application
portfolio.

A successful candidate will have a wide breadth of technical skills to
bridge the support and project gaps between infrastructure, IT application
development staffs and corporate IT support teams. Example
applications/middleware technologies include (but not limited to);
Oracle/Stellent *Web Content Management*, *Hive dome ITAS*, Microsoft IIS,
CA Unicenter Autosys Job Scheduler.



*Principal Accountabilities: *

Implement and support complex enterprise level applications

Troubleshoot complex issues, and choose best solutions and courses of action


Research problems & solutions independently

Make independent decisions regarding on-the-spot operational and application
corrections, workloads, and operations within standardized practices and
procedures

Make recommendations regarding procedures, project scope, deadlines,
budgets, and new technology initiatives

Work as an IT liaison with various vendors and internal support teams

Stay current on industry trends and developments

Stay current on technology and compliance components

Evaluate, propose, and recommend technology solution alternatives



*Required:*

Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, MIS, or Engineering
(equivalent professional experience considered)

5+ year's professional experience in supporting complex global enterprise
applications

5+ years professional experience in enterprise application installations,
upgrades, system copies/client refreshes, performance tuning, security
setup, application patching, & backup and restore functions

Willingness and ability to learn new applications quickly and effectively
with limited formal documentation or hands on training

Willingness and ability to provide off hours support and participate in on
call rotation for 24x7x365 coverage

Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Active Directory

Strong interpersonal skills, with a team-oriented approach

Ability to apply multiple technologies to business problems (enterprise
design)

Good written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work under a great deal of pressure (I.e. pressure from traders
who are loosing money due to a down system)

Ability and past experience producing technical documentation

Ability to work successfully in both a team environment and independently



*Preferred: *

5+ year's professional experience as a *Windows Administrator* in a large
global environment (not specifically looking for a network admin)

Experience with enterprise software, specifically the following
applications: BizTalk, TRIM, Oracle Web Content Management, Hivedome ITAS,
Microsoft IIS, CA Unicenter Autosys job scheduler

*2+ year(s) experience with scripting languages such as MS VB, asp, Perl or
vbscript *

Knowledge of database technologies such as Oracle and SQL server

Knowledge of network infrastructure technologies

Previous successful application support experience

Crisis Management experience

Consultative approach to problem solving, someone who is routinely the
application technical "go-to" person

Experience in technical architecture/infrastructure design & documentation
of such design

Previous experience with multiple remote location support (global
corporation)
