Here is the client requirement:
The Sales Order Management Technology team is responsible for the design,
development, and support of systems to manage orders for sales traders. The
system is comprised of an MFC/C++ GUI and various server side components
written in C++ and Java. The GUI is used by 200+ sales traders across the US
to enter and manage orders for US shares and listed options. We process
approximately 6,000 orders per day of which 90% are submitted electronically
by clients using the Fix protocol.
Job description:
Maintain, enhance and support features in the sales order management system.
Developer will focus mainly on:
Enhancements to existing Java and C++ servers to support the following
business functions:
Trade booking
Order history queries
Client and product reference data queries
Compliance-driven enhancements and queries
Enhancements to the Client Connectivity Tool (aka CCT) web-application; CCT
is used to store client reference data and preferences related to automated
electronic order management
Day to day production support
Candidate Requirements:
• 4+ years of development experience
• Java server development experience
• Relational database experience preferably Sybase
• Webpage development experience including JavaScript
• Perl or shell scripting experience
• C++ server development experience a plus
• Microsoft MFC/C++ GUI development experience a plus
• Financial industry experience is a plus

Project Description:
Manage the flow of content in order to ensure the availability of licensed
provider content.
Daily Responsibilities:
. *Manage relationships, licensed content providers *
*. Manage the transformation of new licensed content*
*. Manage licensed content distribution*
*. Maintain licensed POR documentation (perform needed updates, deletes,
changes) on an ongoing basis*
*. Troubleshoot internal and license side production/data/delivery issues
that affect delivery of provider content *
*. Work with providers to fix production issues and identify and remedy
production and delivery failures*
*. Collaborate with developers and QA team to streamline content
transformation automation*
*. Execute any additional content checks above the aforementioned tasks to
ensure that we meet the licensed content provider's posting requirements*
*. Report and triage issues pertaining to content delivery/release and
quality*
*. Design and maintain feedback mechanisms to report on the status of
content delivery and release as well as on established quality metrics of
such content *
Necessary Skills (Must Have): *Minimum of 5 years experience:*
. Expertise in multiple technology platforms/languages: .NET, HTML, DHTML,
XML, JavaScript, Java, SQL
. HTML maintenance
. Ability to define, create and complete a technical task without guidance
. Experience in full lifecycle software development processes and methods
. Proficiency with XML conversion tools
. Basic project management skills
. Must work well under deadline pressure; must be detail-oriented, solution
