This person should be very well versed in Linux and shell scripting (BASH) with experience administering an MPP database. *ROLE DESCRIPTION:* 1. Must have 1-2 yrs of providing daily Netezza administration support to the development team including: A. Security administration B. File system mounting and data transfers C. NZLOAD bulk loads o BASH linux scripting to automate above processes. *(THIS IS A MUST)* D. Database administration · Creation/ dropping of new databases and objects · Data reclaims · Backups · Migration of data and objects from one database to another · Migration of data between DEV and PROD servers · NZ SQL and Store Proc support for developers · Process monitoring · Performance tuning 2. Candidate will work in a highly decentralized and customer facing environment. 3. Must be able to interface effectively with all levels of the organization. 4. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be strong and effective communicator. 5.
