Position: *Storage Systems Administrator* Location: NDC (Springfield, VA) Start Date: 01/31/2011 Min Education: Bachelors *Clearance/Citizenship Requirements:* - Candidate must meet security clearance requirements for Customs and Border Protection. - U.S. Citizenship is required. - CBP requires that for the three (3) years prior to the filing of an application for employment, individuals must meet the one or more of the following primary residence criteria: (a) the applicant resided in the United States (short trips abroad, such as vacations, will not necessarily disqualify an applicant); or (b) the applicant worked for the U.S. Government as an employee overseas in a Federal or military capacity; or (c) the applicant was a dependent of a U.S. Federal or military employee serving overseas. *Responsibilities & Duties:* A replacement Storage Administrator skilled in UNIX operating systems is needed to implement major enhancements to enterprise storage for CBP. The selected candidate(s) will support the Customs and Border Protection Storage Engineering and Operations Team. This position requires advanced knowledge of both UNIX operating systems (SOLARIS/AIX/LINUX) and enterprise storage array subsystems (Hitachi, EMC and NetApp) environments. Strong analytical and process oriented skills are preferred, especially with regards to configuration management and trouble-shooting within a complex enterprise environment. Candidate will be expected to bring enterprise management experience and perspective to the organization. Candidate should have knowledge of ECC Storage Resource Management tools and/or HP Opsware technologies and techniques. Demonstrated experience within a distributed server environment of at least 200 servers is ideal. 1. Administer Enterprise UNIX Servers - 30% 2. Administer SAN storage arrays - 30% 3. Provide documentation to establish baseline and to track all change management activities - 10% 4. Production support and troubleshooting 20% 5.
